Health

What is meant by health?

When it comes to health we normally take for granted specially during our busy times. Sometimes we don’t  realise how much  health is important for us.

Health is the level in our body, since birth of functional and metabolic efficiency of a living organism.
We all require health. Similarly plants, animals also require to have good health otherwise we won’t get roasted chicken and yummy veggies to eat........ but we won’t go in detail about that.our main topic is on human health.

In humans it is the ability of individuals or communities to adapt and self-manage when facing Physical, Mental, Psychological and Social environment. Maintaining health is very important in our day to day life. Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well- being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.there are two main types of health. Physical and Mental health. Physical health has a broader impact on mental health and vice versa.

Mental health includes psychological well- being and how they feel. Whereas physical health includes physical activity, nutrition and diet and sleep / rest.

Health is just not a state, but also a resource in our day to day life and not an objective of living. Health is a positive concept right from birth which needs to be maintained well. Its a concept emphasising social and personal resources, as well as physical capacities.

Health can be improved via exercise, enough sleep, maintaining a healthy body weight, limiting intoxicants such as alcohol, drugs, and harmful activities such as smoking.

The environment is often considered as an important factor influencing the health status of individuals.this includes characteristics of the natural environment, the built environment, and social environment. Factors such as clean water and air, adequate housing, and safe communities and roads.

Sometimes health status may be through genetics or inherited traits from parents. This can encompass both the predisposition to certain diseases and health conditions, as well as the habits and behaviour’s individuals develop through their lifestyles of their families. Genetics may also play a role in manner in which people cope with stress,  either mental, emotional or physical. Example: Obesity is a very large problem in United States.

This topic is literally small. Till then we will meet with our next related chapter.
As we all know that saying “Health is Wealth”. Stay tuned.....
